Renee Kathleen Zellweger

Renee Kathleen Zellweger was born on April 25 1969 in Katy, Texas, Her mother Kjellfrid Irene (Andreassen), is a nurse born in Norway, former and midwife of Norwegian, Kven (Finnish) as well as Swedish descent. Emil Erich Zellweger, her father, is a Swiss engineer. They got married in the year 1963. Drew Zellweger was Renee's older brother. He is an executive in marketing and was born on the 15th of February 1967. Renee was a member of the drama club in high school and began to be fascinated by acting. She also attended an acting class at University of Texas (Austin) in Austin, and then began looking for a profession in acting. She was determined to perform when she finished her studies, but Hollywood isn't easy to get into. Renee decided not to leave Texas and went to audition at Houston to be cast in roles. Matthew McConaughey was another Hollywood newcomer who she met on set for Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2: The Next Generation (1994). Renee noticed him working on a project and decided to audition. She was offered the role of Love and the 45 (1994). The role was a huge success and brought her enough praise that she decided to move to Los Angeles. A further role in The Whole Wide World (1996) was followed, which brought about her breakthrough. Cameron Crowe was busy casting Jerry Maguire (1996) which starred Tom Cruise. Crowe was thinking about actresses like Bridget Fonda (Camden Diaz), Winona Ryder (Winona Ryder) and Marisa Tomei. Then he came across Zellweger's performance at The Whole Wide World (1996). He auditioned Zellweger and felt confident she was his Dorothy Boyd. Renee then followed her enormous success with a handful of small independent films. After receiving more praise from critics, she felt confident enough to reenter the realm of large-budget Hollywood films. She starred opposite Meryl Streep in the tear-jerker One True Thing (1998). She also starred opposite Jim Carrey in Me, Myself & Irene (2000) and began to be romantically involved with Carrey within a short time. as the lead in Bridget Jones's Diary (2001).
