Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell was TV personality and ex-chef of the Institute of Culinary Education and previously taught cooking. The host of The Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, in her Food Network Series Secrets of a Restaurant Cook she demonstrates easy-to-master techniques, as well as her famous blonde spiky locks. Chef Burrell had a job at the top New York restaurants and studied Italian food traditions and landscape. Additionally, she competed in Food Network's Iron Chef America. While growing up in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell developed a passion for cooking and food from the age of a child. After receiving an English and Communication degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she started to pursue her passion for the world of food and restaurant management by enrolled in The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America was an amazing adventure for me. It was hard to study and do enough or put in the hours. Chef Burrell, after graduating from the Culinary Institute for Foreigners in Italy was employed for a year in Umbria at La Taverna del Lupo and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, which is a Michelin-starred restaurant. Through her stay in Italy she learned to comprehend and appreciate the philosophy of Italian culinary and cultural traditions that created a lasting impact on her food standpoint. Burrell has served on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens children's lives who have difficulties. She also serves as a Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador. she advocates for the awareness of juvenile diabetes. As a speaker, Burrell is on the road to promote her love for food as well as her career in the culinary field. In her journey to culinary excellence, Anne has often said that I am very fortunate to share my true passion to others.
