Georgia born, he began his career in hip hop with Playaz Circle, which he formed along with a high school buddy. Their first album, titled 'Supply & Demand", was an unremarkable success. Epps' second album, 'Based on a T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. It was a huge success and debuted at the top spot on US Billboard 200. In the very first week following release, it sold out to 147,000 copies. After the release of his album, there was no turning back. He rose to fame as one of America's most well-known rappers.
